Administrative Support Clerk - Temp to Hire

ES3 has an immediate opening in their San Diego, CA location for an Administrative Support Clerk (Temp to Hire).


General Summary

The Administrative Support Clerk position will support multiple departments in the day-to-day operations of business. The individual will work under the direction of the Accounting Manager in aiding departments such as: Administration, Purchasing, Accounting and Human Resources.  


Essential Job Functions

Administration:

  • Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct callers to appropriate person
  • Sign for front office packages and sort and distribute mail to received shipments
  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of mail services (Regular Mail, FedEx, UPS, etc)
  • Research information and perform other ad hoc assignments as requested in support of other departments

 

Purchasing:

  • Provide back up support in creating Receiving Reports, upload to Purchasing Database
  • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports, and price lists
  • Assist in tracking the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
  • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations as needed
  • Assist in contacting suppliers to facilitate delivery guidelines and/or schedule or expedited deliveries
  • Assist to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and/or other order related follow up
  • Generating Quickbooks Reports to determine open Purchase Order status
  • Manual and electronic filing of closed Purchase Orders and supporting documents

 

Accounting:

  • Perform Quickbooks report searches to arrange and assess sales tax paid for monthly and quarterly filing reports by state
  • Utilizing Quickbooks reports to assess open invoices, check and credit card payment status to vendors
  • Provide Accounts Payable support for post check run activities that may include copying, sorting, mailing and filing of vendor payments and reimbursements
  • Scanning cash reimbursement documents for electronic archival
  • Assist in maintaining manual and electronic accounting files for audit readiness

 

Human Resources:

  • Research regulatory compliance for CA, UT and GA on a federal, state, and federal contractor level
  • Respond to staff inquiries by providing general information such as benefit summary information, benefit rates, and eligibility requirements
  • Create, compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel
  • Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies in all ES3 locations
  • Assist in recruiting process such as scheduling interviews
  • Recordkeeping/filing
  • Prepare new hire packets 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Engineering Technician - Clearfield, UT

General Summary

ES3 is seeking to hire an Engineering Technician/Intern to assist engineering staff and work alongside other technicians to complete various technical tasks.  The position will demand assistance in timely completion of projects that include Zinc Nickel and Magnetron Sputter (RODS).

Jr. Technician - Clearfield, UT

General Summary

ES3 is seeking to hire a long term temporary Junior Technician to work alongside technicians and engineers and provide assistance with technical tasks.  The job will consist of supporting journeymen machinists by cutting raw stock, fixture assembly, plastisol plating, light fabrication, deliveries and pick-ups from vendors.  This position has no guarantee to transition to permanent full-time employment.

Responsible for performing engineering projects for one or more of the following: Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Structures, Engine and Propeller, Landing Gear, Aircraft MRO Activities, and Material & Processing R&D. Senior Financial Analyst - San Diego, CA (Full-Time)

General Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring policy and procedurecompliance, audit readiness, oversight of corporate revenue reporting activities and critical and confidential aspects of company finance. This is a senior level accounting  position that will participate in a wide variety of special and assigned projects requiring communication with colleagues, executive management, clients and others in a professional and timely manner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide back up for Controller as organizational demands dictate.  
  • Manage project control reporting activities by preparing and analyzing ETC's/EAC's and provide monthly reporting to Corporate and Senior Management. 
  • Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow forecast for Corporate Management.
  • Provide detailed support and analysis of corporate revenue forecast for Corporate Management.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Incurred Cost Proposal (ICE) for management review.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly indirect rate calculations.
  • Assist in maintaining, enhancing and/or developing Accounting department policy and procedures.
  • Assist in monthly/year-end close activities.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Accounts Receivable Excel invoices, capturing labor hours, materials, subcontracts and odc's for submission to various Government and Commercial customers.
  • Oversee payroll processing, submission, payroll journal entries and reporting activities. 
  • QuickBooks review of payroll reporting and review of related spreadsheets. 
  • Assign and maintain charge codes in GHG timecard system.
  • Maintain audit readiness through oversight of general ledger activities.
  • Provide Audit Support in response to DCAA, state sales tax and property tax entities.  
  • Support semi-annual Financial Capability audit conducted by Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
  • Prepare and submit annual Government mandated Contractor Manpower Reporting Application (CMRA).
  • Complete  monthly shop allocation and labor accruals.
  • Support Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Ad Hoc reporting on an as needed basis
  • Any other accounting special or assigned projects as needed

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, minimum of 10 years of professional experience of in Government accounting environment 
  • Strong understanding of Government Accounting concepts, i.e. allowable and unallowable costs, direct and indirect costs, overhead, G&A, fringe and M&S pools.
  • Engage in critical thinking
  • Problem Solving /Analysis and organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, (Word and Excel) computer software, QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. Intermediate knowledge of WAWF, Gov Pay, GSA Finance a plus

Aircraft Technician - Warner Robins, GA (Full-Time)

General Summary

Under direct supervision of Southeast Operations Director/Aircraft Systems Manager, responsible for day-to-day operational project activities and maintenance technician tasks for Robins Air Force Base. Responsible for on-time delivery to customers executing production schedules as well as communicating with operators, management and engineering. Perform specialized Technician duties to include hands on aircraft maintenance and operating machinery. Work with Engineering and Technicians to identify and establish process improvements, cost reductions, time standards, technical manuals and repair and overhaul of aircraft and their components, including avionics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop manuals and accomplish repair and overhaul (airframe, powerplant and avionics disciplines) aircraft technician activities related to U.S. Air Force aircraft, including vertical lift aircraft. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to fabricate, assemble, and install prototype equipment on a large variety of aircraft, ranging from single-engine airplanes to complex, multi-engine turbojets, and helicopters.
  • Must be familiar with military technical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders and blue prints.
  • Must have ability to make repair and modifications to existing airframes.
  • Coordinates with project engineer personnel throughout the project, and provide technical assistance to project engineers, contractors and factory representatives.
  • Must perform sheet metal repairs to a variety of aircraft, possess an in-depth knowledge of sheet metal materials and repair techniques.
  • Must use tools and equipment associated with a sheet metal shop, such as protractors, calipers, pitch gauges, crimping tools/machines, forming machines, gas and heli-arc welding machines, lathes, milling machines, saws and drilling presses.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and rudimentary drawings.
  • May be required to accompany aircraft on project flights away from the work site and perform aircraft maintenance at various locations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Entry level to 20+ years of experience in aircraft repair and overhaul. C-5, C-130, F-15, C-17, UH-1 and HH-60 experience is a plus. Avionics experience is a plus.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact with customer levels and all management levels
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and be able to work independently with minimum supervision

Welder - Clearfield, UT (Full-Time)

General Summary

ES3 is seeking a Welder to perform fitting, cutting, welding, and soldering metal components made from various alloys such as; aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel and lead. Fabricates or repairs products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and work with tight tolerances, complicated setups, and materials such as non-ferrous, nickel, and lead.
  • Read and understand mechanical drawings with standard tolerance designations.
  • Fabricate, weld and manufacture conformal anode fixtures for use in plating operations.
  • Cut, position, and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
  • Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Work from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts or work orders.
  • Lay out and mark points on parts or subassemblies using rule, square, scribe or templates, and calipers.
  • Weld metal parts together, using both gas welding, brazing, soldering and any combination of MIG and TIG processes.
  • Perform related tasks such as oxy-acetylene or plasma cutting, grinding, and soldering.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications using micrometers or calipers.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
  • May be trained to do prototype plating on landing gear parts as required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Trade School, Apprenticeship program, Military School, or On the Job Training Program in Fabrication and/or Welding.
  • 3-7 years of related experience, Aerospace Industry a plus.
  • Experience and strong ability in reading blueprints and working with tight tolerances, complicated setups, and materials such as non-ferrous, nickel, and lead.
  • Thorough and demonstrated experience/understanding of design and dimensional characteristics.
  • Demonstrated experience performing intricate detailed work and the use of odd materials.
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings with standard tolerance designations.
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of all materials used in repair of Aircraft and their components a plus.
  • Able to read weld/assembly blueprints with an understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance callouts.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal pattern layout, geometry, and other necessary mathematics.
  • Knowledge and workability, content and chemical properties of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Able to weld ferrous and non ferrous materials, corrosion resistant steels, copper, monel, lead, brass or their alloys, in various sizes and shapes in overhaul, modification, repair and fabrication.
  • Machining experience a plus.
  • Weld all assemblies into completed components using correct welding processes.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, adhere to written procedures and experience with ISO/AS9100C requirements, standards, and compliance issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills to effectively interface with all levels of staff, customers, and government representatives.

Thermal Spray Technician

General Summary

Responsible for performing Plasma and HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) thermal spray coating operations and other work as assigned by the Spray Lead or Operations Manager in a timely manner. Will work in an ISO/AS9100 environment and follow shop work instructions, process specifications, and work within local, state and federal environmental, health and safety programs to ensure employee safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review job folder to verify areas to be masked, cleaned and coated. Confirm all requirements prior to start of work
  • Perform Plasma and HVOF thermal spray coating application per work instructions
  • Record all applicable data per work instructions
  • Ask Spray Lead if unsure of work assignments
  • Report damaged parts to Spray Lead or Supervisor
  • Report parts of poor quality to the Spray Lead or Supervisor
  • Obtain the materials necessary to perform job - from the Spray Lead if necessary
  • Appropriate and accurate recording of materials used per job
  • Appropriate use and maintenance of mask materials
  • Keep the work area neat and orderly at all times
  • Return any supplies not used to appropriate area
  • Report to the Spray Lead or Supervisor when work assignment is completed
  • Assist in post process/receiving or anywhere else directed by Spray Lead or General Manager
  • Provide general part degreasing, masking and grit blasting
  • Work with Quality Management on manufacturing issues, inspection criteria, audits and resolution of findings
  • Maintain strict document control standards and quality policy compliance

ES3 is looking for Mechanics experienced in Aircraft Structural Repairs. Our initial focus will be on F-16 Aircraft Repair and F-16 Wing Overhaul. We will perform Wing Overhaul work in our Clearfield, Utah facility. We also anticipate sending field teams world-wide to work on Aircraft. The Mechanics could be dedicated to the In-House Overhaul or the Field Team Work or a combination of both. Mechanics that choose to only perform Field Team Work would be able to travel from wherever they currently reside to the work site.

ES3 is not currently hiring Mechanics at this time. We are only trying to locate a pool of potential applicants.
