Project Engineer - Warner Robins, GA (Full-Time)

General Summary

Responsible for performing engineering projects for one or more of the following: Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Structures, Engine and Propeller, Landing Gear, Aircraft MRO Activities, and Material & Processing R&D. Demonstrate the ability to apply aircraft engineering principles and related disciplines to problem solving applications in a team-oriented work environment; the ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of design allowable and structural modeling as it relates to Aircraft Structures, Landing Gear Systems, Engine and propeller systems; perform review of detailed manufacturing plans, drawings and qualification test plans; conduct mechanical testing, chemical and environmental analysis for M&P development; work in a team environment and have excellent communication skills. Must be able to interact with; engineers, subcontractors, team members, and customers in a collaborative manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, Qualification, Chemical and Mechanical Lab Testing (Fatigue, Adhesion, Micro Sectioning, Hardness, Porosity, Titration, Corrosion, Fluid Compatibility, etc.)
  • Design Engineering (FEA, Fatigue)
  • Engineering Drawings (AutoCAD)
  • Solid Modeling (SolidWorks, ProE, and/or CATIA)
  • Robot Programming (Fanuc and/or ABB)
  • Technical Data Publication and Review
  • Perform other duties as requested

Network and Computer Systems Administrator - Clearfield, UT (Full-Time)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Network and Computer Systems Administrator position at ES3 offers an exciting opportunity to master a wide variety of computer, network, and system administration skills. Maintaining the ES3 Support Help Desk allows for skill development in Windows domain administration, Unix/Linux server administration, Windows and Mac operating systems, Cisco network router and firewall administration, database administration, as well as a wide variety of hardware issue repair and troubleshooting. A qualified applicant will be willing and able to support all aspects of IT at all ES3 locations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, and ASA firewall devices, including Cisco IOS and Cisco VPN.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of an intermediate skill level working administrating Linux OS (particularly Cent OS and Ubuntu)
  • Demonstrate a minimum of an intermediate skill level administrating Windows Servers and Windows desktop OS
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Mac OS X
  • Demonstrated abilities in mail server administration
  • Demonstrated abilities in web server administration
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of VoIP phone system administration
  • Demonstrate an expert skill level in data network wiring

Aircraft Technician/Machinist - Warner Robins, GA (Full-Time)

General Summary

Under supervision of Southeast Operations Director, the Aircraft Technician/Machinist will be responsible for day-to-day operational project activities and maintenance technician tasks for Georgia Technical Operations Center (GTOC). Responsible for on-time delivery to customers executing production schedules as well as communicating with operators, management and engineering. Perform specialized Technician duties to include hands on aircraft maintenance and operating machinery. Work with Engineering and Technicians to identify and establish process improvements, cost reductions, time standards, technical manuals and repair and overhaul of aircraft and their components. The position will require the set up and operation of Lathe, Mill, and/or other NC/CNC machines to perform and produce precision metal parts and materials such as cutting, drilling, milling, boring as specified by Job Traveler, blueprints, drawing, templates or layout. The successful candidate will be proficient at GD&T, capable of thriving in an ISO environment, be responsible and professional.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Fabricate parts and accomplish repair and overhaul (airframe and powerplant disciplines) aircraft technician and machinist activities related to U.S. Air Force aircraft, including vertical lift aircraft. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Must be able to operate Manual, NC and CNC lathes/mills, including set up and selection of tools and materials.
  • Must be able to program CNC lathes and mills, including set up and selection of tools and materials.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and rudimentary drawings.
  • Reviews engineering drawings, illustrations, and written/verbal correspondence to plan the fabrication sequence to fabricate parts to specifications in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to hold close tolerances, including set up of tools and materials.
  • Must be familiar with military and/or commercial aircraft technical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders and blue prints.
  • Must perform sheet metal repairs to a variety of aircraft, possess an in-depth knowledge of sheet metal materials and repair techniques.
  • Must use tools and equipment associated with a sheet metal and fabrication shop, such as protractors, calipers, pitch gauges, crimping tools/machines, forming machines, gas and heli-arc welding machines, saws and drilling presses, etc.
  • Coordinates with project engineer personnel throughout the project, and provide technical assistance to project engineers, contractors and factory representatives.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to apply knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100C Quality systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • 2+ years of experience in part fabrication, and aircraft repair and overhaul.
  • Knowledge and ability in programming CNC Mills and Lathes using CAM software such as MasterCam.
  • Knowledge and ability in programming CNC Mills and Lathes using G-Code.
  • Knowledge, skill and ability in operating Doosan CNCs a plus.
  • Knowledge, skill and ability in grinding (cylindrical and surface) a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Word). SGML and/or XML authoring is a plus.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact with customer levels and all management levels.
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma and/or typically requires an Associate’s degree and/or 2 years Technical/Trade school training or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in all machine tool operations as listed under required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • A&P License a plus.
  • Electroplating experience is a plus.
  • Non Destructive Testing (MPI, FPI, etc.) level 2 or 3 certification is a plus.

Aircraft Maintenance - Clearfield, UT (Full-Time)

ES3 is looking for Mechanics experienced in Aircraft Structural Repairs. Our initial focus will be on F-16 Aircraft Repair and F-16 Wing Overhaul. We will perform Wing Overhaul work in our Clearfield, Utah facility. We also anticipate sending field teams world-wide to work on Aircraft. The Mechanics could be dedicated to the In-House Overhaul or the Field Team Work or a combination of both. Mechanics that choose to only perform Field Team Work would be able to travel from wherever they currently reside to the work site.

ES3 is not currently hiring Mechanics at this time. We are only trying to locate a pool of potential applicants.
